On Monday, we travelled to the awards ceremony, held at Millbank Tower in London, having been shortlisted for the award earlier in the year. The event was attended by companies from all over the country, ranging from small independent businesses such as hairdressers and letting agencies to large national companies.
The first award announced was for marketing companies in the North of England, and we were thrilled to hear our name read out as winners of the Gold Award for this category. When presenting the award, the judges commented:
“So many things can motivate us to start our own business – and high on that list is redundancy. After suffering at the hands of fools and employers, many unemployed take the plunge into their own business. One such is Nick Jones. He was made redundant by Yell three years ago and set up his own business that is expanding with new services all the time – including an enterprise that sees him competing in his old employers’ directory territory.”
As well as picking up our trophy and certificate which now take pride of place in the Full Media office, we made some great contacts at the event, some of whom we are planning to work with in the near future – so all in all, it was a great day out! We’d like to thank Scoot for picking us as winners of the award, and we hope that this is the first of many awards for Full Media Ltd!
