It seems like only yesterday that we were writing a blog about What’s Troubling Tawny?, the second book in Emma Sandford’s irresistible series The Sumatran Trilogy. And yet, here we are, months later, blogging about the arrival of the third and final book, Hooray for Heidi!, and we couldn’t be more thrilled by how it has turned out.

Beautifully illustrated by Emma Sandford’s frequent collaborator, Olena Osadcha, Hooray for Heidi! is a funny, emotional and ultimately uplifting story with numerous powerful messages for kids, such as the importance of teamwork and friendship, and the fact that we all have our own unique talents.

What is particularly impressive about this book is that Olena Osadcha managed to illustrate it despite the ongoing war in Ukraine. Emma has quite rightly dedicated the book to Olena and her fellow Ukrainians.

Also, as with the other two books in the trilogy (The Problem with Poppy and What’s Troubling Tawny?), we have partnered with Rainforest Trust UK, a wonderful charity close to our hearts. £1 per book sale goes directly to the charity, and we have saved hundreds of acres of rainforest in Sumatra already.

Hooray for Heidi! has already received a five-star review from Litpick Book Reviews, who described it as “a jam-packed book” that “talks about friendship and camaraderie”.
